As the Club approaches its 50th anniversary, Dave Vickery has the following message:
“It is a special achievement for a club to run for 50 years and still be going strong. I have the honour of being chosen to Chair the Club as it reaches this milestone, and it is my mission to ensure that it is an enjoyable year for all our members, whether existing or yet to join us.
Whilst the programme of talks is in the planning stage, we do have a some heavily pencilled in.
We start in July 2024 with the prominent meteorologist and occasional LookEast weather presenter, Chris Bell, giving an illustrated talk on his personal experiences of storm-chasing in his native USA. Chris has visited us before and is a top-class speaker, so we are very pleased to welcome him back.
Our programme finale will take place in May 2025. Norfolk’s all-round entertainer, Olly Day, will perform a post-lunch cabaret show. Members who remember his show for our 40th anniversary are looking forward to it already and will be able to bring partners and guests for this celebration event.
We have room to welcome new members and I am absolutely convinced that there are many more men in North Norfolk who would enjoy being part of the Club.”
